Las reglas básicas son uno de los pilares de la mecánica general del juego, aquellas reglas que todos los jugadores deben conocer para poder jugar. Este capítulo forma el motor del juego, a partir del cual Infinity CodeOne se establece como un excelente simulador del combate táctico moderno.
En las reglas Básicas se establecen las características de las Tropas de Infinity CodeOne y la manera en que se desenvuelven en el entorno de juego, se define cómo crear fuerzas de combate y las reglas para comenzar a jugar y de estructura de la partida. Pero el apartado fundamental de este capítulo es la explicación del sistema de Órdenes, el núcleo del modelo de juego que los jugadores emplearán constantemente y que les permitirá participar durante toda la partida, sin dejar de jugar en ningún momento.
Para poder empezar a jugar a Infinity CodeOne es necesario lo siguiente:
- Una cinta métrica de al menos 120 cm.
- Varios Dados de 20 caras (d20).
- Miniaturas de la gama Corvus Belli para representar las unidades de ambos jugadores.
- Escenografía. Al menos unos 4 elementos grandes y unos 10 elementos pequeños. Tal y como se verá más adelante, la escenografía es un elemento muy importante en Infinity CodeOne.
- Mesa de juego de 60 cm x 80 cm. Aunque se puede jugar en superficies de otros tamaños, éste es el tamaño de mesa de juego ideal para iniciar Infinity CodeOne.
- Plantillas, Tokens y Marcadores. Todos ellos incluidos en las cajas de inicio de Infinity CodeOne y disponibles de manera gratuita en la sección de Descargas de la página web oficial de Infinity www.infinitytheuniverse.com.

Traits

Armies
In Infinity CodeOne there are several Factions that represent the different Armies of the Human Sphere and the alien forces of the Combined Army.

Unit Profile
“Soldiers” in Infinity CodeOne are called Troopers and are grouped into Units belonging to each Army. [continued...]
Game States
‘State’ is a game term for each of the altered conditions, beneficial or not, that a Trooper or game element might find itself in. Each state has a specific game effect, as well as individual methods of activation and cancellation. States in Infinity are cumulative, and are indicated by placing State Tokens next to an affected Trooper.
Army List

Orders and the Order Pool
In Infinity CodeOne, the capacity of an army to maneuver and take actions is measured in Orders. An Order is a game concept, a sort of currency spent to activate a Trooper so that it can take part in the battle. The higher the number of Orders at its disposal, the more an army can do.
